Despite the containment measures imposed by the evolution of the Coronavirus epidemic, Monaco Explorations remains mobilized to continue preparing future missions and, with all our partners in Team Monaco, to continue working in the service of the Ocean and society.

DAY FOCUS ON INNOVATION AT THE SERVICE OF THE OCEAN

At the beginning of 2020, Laurent Ballesta will present the Gombessa V expedition at the Salon de la Plongée and a conference at the Maison des Océans in Paris. On this occasion, we are publishing a very beautiful photography of gorgonians taken at a depth of about 70 meters in front of Monaco.

The Monaco Explorations team is pleased to present a new exhibition comprising twenty or so panels including very beautiful photographs of marine turtles in the Conference Hall of the Monaco Oceanographic Museum. 

Supported by the Monaco Exploration Society, a study mission on the deep-water corals of the Red Sea took place in the Gulf of Aqaba at Eilat.

The mission carried out in Palau from 11 to 23 October 2019 focused on two research subjects: the study of resistance and adaptation of corals to ocean acidification and that of the key mechanisms of cellular ageing.
